Bento Box Quilt Variations
Even though the bento box block is not as versatile as some other quilt blocks, there are still a lot of options for using it.
These ideas will get you started designing your own quilt with corner blocks. For more inspiration, check out the Bento Box Inspiration Workbook.
Layout one – Just the block
This is the classic use of the block. Playing with different colour combinations can give some fun results.

Layout two – With alternate blocks
Adding plain alternate blocks makes an interesting quilt, and it is a quick and easy way to make your quilt larger.

Layout three – With Alternate 4-patch blocks
Because the bento box block is based on a four-patch design, alternating with plain four-patch blocks is an obvious choice.

Layout four – On point
Turning blocks on point always makes an interesting quilt.

Layout five – On point with alternates
Adding alternate blocks to the on-point design can make the rows stand out.

There are many more ways to use the bento box, but this will get your ideas flowing.
