Bento Box Quilt Variations

Even though the bento box block is not as versatile as some other quilt blocks, there are still a lot of options for using it.

Layout one – Just the block

This is the classic use of the block. Playing with different colour combinations can give some fun results.

Layout two – With alternate blocks

Adding plain alternate blocks makes an interesting quilt, and it is a quick and easy way to make your quilt larger.

Layout three – With Alternate 4-patch blocks

Because the bento box block is based on a four-patch design, alternating with plain four-patch blocks is an obvious choice.

Turning blocks on point always makes an interesting quilt.
