Can you sharpen the blade of your rotary cutter?
Yes, you can – but eventually it will still need replacing.
method #1
There are special tools that you can use to sharpen rotary blades, both mechanical and electric.
These will help you extend the length of the blade significantly.
They won’t fix nicks or bends, but they will sharpen the edge like knife sharpeners.
method #2
For a temporary sharpen, run the blade through layers of aluminum foil. This will give you a sharper blade, but it won’t last as long.
No matter which method you use, you will still have to replace the blade eventually.
