This tea towel was a fun spring project.
The towel itself was purchased at Walmart. There were a few different colour options, but I chose the green because it was cheerful and looked like a good background for a bright floral design.
I used an iron-on transfer design. It transferred clearly onto the fabric.

The bright colour of the background needed bold colours in the embroidery, so I chose these jewel tones. I didn’t purchase any embroidery floss, but just used what I already had.
I chose a variety of stitches to add interest and texture to the design.
It turned out great and brightens up my kitchen for spring.
