Since I finished my last socks, I got to work on another pair. My goal for 2019 is to knit one sock per month, so six pairs in the year. We’ll see if I can actually do that since I only knit while I’m doing something else like watching tv. (Also, I do have some hand quilting that I should be doing.)
These socks are bright and fun and the pattern has a cable in it. I decided not to do the two-at-a-time magic loop method because the right and left socks are different with the placement of the cable.
When I see how the yarn colour patterns in a spiral, I think I should look for a knit pattern that has a spiral to emphasize it.
I finished up a couple more dishcloths. This one has a waffle pattern with a nice texture.
This one is knitted flat with an increase in the middle. Usually this pattern is made with a decrease, but I used an increase since I didn’t know exactly how much yarn I had left in the ball. There are a couple of minor glitches, but I’m sure the dishes won’t mind.
I just squeaked in the December block for my guild’s block of the month. I don’t know the name of this block, but it’s a nice star with hints of bear paw.
All the scarves are done, but I loaded up the loom for another project. This will look familiar since it’s the same yarn as the scarves, but they will be placemats at the end of the day. They were inspired by the scarf that looks the same.
Have a great week!
